Challenge
Beaumont Health emerged as Michigan’s largest healthcare system following the merger of three independent organizations. Under the leadership of a new CEO, Beaumont’s vision, operations and brand position were clearly defined, but the organization struggled to align cultural expectations and action with its strategic business goals.
Beehive developed Beaumont’s Moonshot, a cultural rallying point supporting its strategic plan, and developed an engagement strategy that inspired 40,000 employees to understand their roles in creating the future of health care.

Results
- Conducted an internal audit — including executives, physicians and staff — to identify and articulate the Moonshot
- Developed a comprehensive internal communication plan, activating ProSci’s ADKAR model for change management, to engage and inspire employees
- Created a visual identity system to anchor the Moonshot in the collective consciousness of employees
- Successfully introduced the Moonshot to thousands of Beaumont employees at more than 50 locations.
