Strategies
Communicating the gravity of the situation while rallying support and belief in a future for the College was a delicate balance that required thoughtful, timely and transparent communication.
- Developed a communication strategy to ensure a steady stream of information between college leadership and stakeholders
- Created key messages to ensure clarity, consistency and shared understanding across audiences and communication channels
- Assembled a crisis response team with representatives from across the college who met daily to align on needs, surface feedback, and activate the plan
- Ensured dedicated touchpoints with a wide range of stakeholders, including students, prospective students and their families, alumni, faculty, staff, partners, regulating bodies, and community members
- Coordinated external media relations efforts to ensure the College was able to communicate its story

- Prevented an anticipated Vote of No Confidence vote against the College President, which was expected to stifle all chances of remaining open
- College leadership consistently shared messaging through key channels, including media interviews, helping reinforce transparency and build trust with stakeholders
- College successfully remained open through academic year
