Meet the Team Featuring Annie Terry|
This edition of our Meet the Team series shines a spotlight on Account Supervisor Annie Terry, who joined Beehive in 2025. From getting engaged to relocating to Milwaukee and taking on new challenges at work, it’s been a year of meaningful milestones both personally and professionally.
In her Q&A, Annie shares what stands out most about life at Beehive — from the team’s creativity to the genuine support and encouragement that fuels the work we do. It’s no surprise that the admiration goes both ways. Annie’s perceptiveness, curiosity and authenticity have quickly made her a valued addition to the Beehive culture.
Get to know Annie a little better below:
What made you want to work at Beehive? And what have you liked about it?
I wanted to work at Beehive because of their commitment to being a purpose-driven organization. I want to use my time and talents making the world a better place, and working for a B Corp that’s committed to being a force for good seemed like it would be a great fit.
During my time at Beehive, I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with some incredible mission-driven clients. One example was working with the GiveMN team to promote Give to the Max Day. Contributing to another record-breaking donation year was really energizing and affirmed that I chose the right place to work.
The thing I have liked most about working at Beehive is being a part of such an incredible team. Beehive is full of smart, kind, creative people who have challenged me to learn and grow in a supportive and encouraging environment. Everyone on the team is committed to uplifting each other, which makes it a great place to work.
What are you doing right now to support your professional growth and development?
I’m focused on growth and development opportunities that will help me build the skills to be a better leader on client teams. This includes taking webinars, setting personal goals related to project management and taking advantage of stretch opportunities on my client teams. My supervisor, Abigail, continuously helps me identify meaningful ways to keep growing in this area.
What is one book you could read over and over? Why?
One book I frequently re-read is the Midnight Library by Matt Haig. This book follows a woman who finds herself in a library between life and death where she can examine how her life would be different if she made different choices. I like revisiting this book in times of transition in my life because it reminds me to stay grounded in the present and focus on gratitude instead of getting lost in “what ifs.”
In what ways do you feel you can bring your whole/authentic self to work?
Our team is very open and transparent, which made me feel comfortable sharing personal updates about my life very early on. It’s great to be able to share exciting updates about my life, but more importantly this culture but made me feel supported to share that a close family member was diagnosed with a serious illness early on in my time at Beehive.
I told my team to give them context into what was going on in my personal life and was met with overwhelming support and kindness. Everyone went above and beyond, making sure I knew that they were there to help if I needed to step away and helping me feel less alone during a very scary time in my life. My team’s support made me feel comfortable bringing my full, authentic self to work, even when I’m going through a tough time.
