St. PAUL, Minn., Dec 15, 2017 – Lisa Hannum, president and CEO of Beehive Strategic Communication was named to PR News’ Top Women in PR list, an award that salutes the industry’s most accomplished female communications professionals. Honorees will be celebrated during an awards luncheon on January 23, 2018 in New York City. According to PR News, the Top Women in PR list is comprised of influential women, who are driving the agenda for the industry and in their companies – women who have made bold advances in managing crises, developing brand messages, protecting and building brand reputations and creating content for digital platforms, for their own organizations or for clients. Hannum was nominated for her agency, industry and community leadership as well as her work for Beehive clients including University of Minnesota Health and Beaumont Health. Earlier this year, Hannum spoke on a panel of agency presidents and CEOs to lead Minnesota PRSA’s first-ever “Women-In-Leadership” event. She also led Minnesota’s Inaugural PR Council SHEQUALITY discussion – an initiative that focuses on women helping women achieve equality in the top positions at PR firms of all sizes. Hannum also serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Chapter of the Animal Humane Society. Beehive’s senior vice president, client service Ayme Zemke was recognized by PR News as an honorable mention for the Top PR Professional of the Year Award Platinum Awards. Zemke was nominated for her leadership in developing and championing the agency’s Client Promise. To close out the year, Beehive was named one of 56 winners selected from 100 finalists recognized nationally as best places to work in PR. The winning organizations were honored at PR News’ Top Places to Work event as companies that “inspire their employees to do great work,” setting the precedent for “bold and innovative” communications strategies across industries.
